Quiet Adventure, II: Find the Familiar, No. 1
Go to the places that give you life. As a child, I moved around a lot. Every three years we were moving to a new location around the globe. Even as a young kid I realized that, while the continent might be different, the language might be unfamiliar, the landscape remained constant. It too shifted though. The sun-soaked fields of north Africa, the dusty hills of Syria, the lush farmlands of Ohio… the sky was still above, the ground at my feet still life-giving. That connection and sense of peace is the inspiration behind this painting.
“Find the Familiar, No. 1” An original oil painting, 12x12 inch painting, made from natural (and non-toxic) pigment on canvas. Framed with a simple maple floater frame.
Oil stained canvas is built layer by layer until a landscape emerges — glowing and complex. This piece is absolutely gorgeous and seems to radiate light and tremendous feelings of peace.
Created as a part of the “Quiet Adventure, II” Collection. Learn more about this collection, the poetry that rooted my process, and the inspiration behind this piece HERE.
To purchase, add to cart and select “medium oil painting” as the shipping option at check out. Any additional shipping costs or credits will be billed or refunded based on package size, weight, and shipping location.
